The Weeping Marianne— I Pray for the World

It is a sad thing to witness what has become of the great nation of France.

I know some believe writers should avoid subjects like this. Yet if one cannot speak freely even in a free society, then one might as well return home and remain silent there.

A genuine writer should, and indeed must, possess personal convictions and a clear attitude toward reality itself.

Such things reveal the foundation of one's worldview and the nature of one's character.

In truth, I had already predicted much of this in The Final Patriot Weapon 2084.

What surprised me was that the first domino to fall would be France.

The novel also foresaw the following developments:

Europe, led by Britain, France, and Germany, ultimately declines under the combined weight of uncontrolled migration and radical ideological movements. Within roughly thirty to fifty years, around 2060 to 2080, its economic and social structures reach a point beyond recovery, leading to a transformation of its political order.

If the United States remains under Republican leadership for two or three presidential terms, roughly twenty years, it stands a significant chance of reversing its decline and forming a durable alliance with emerging powers in South America. If not, the Republican movement survives largely in name, and the world continues its descent into disorder.

Under the former scenario, a US-Japan-Taiwan alliance may once again bring an end to the Chinese form of communism. The greatest variable in that process is South Korea.

Within the story, South Korea's leadership is ultimately penetrated. China acquires critical semiconductor manufacturing technology and joins forces with Russia and parts of Asia and the Middle East, forming a bloc opposed to the American-South American alliance.

At the same time, Islamic powers come to dominate Europe and possess nuclear weapons. The descendants of Allah become the decisive force shaping the future of the world. Before that point arrives, everything depends upon how the nations of the Middle East choose between Iran and Israel.

Should they side with Iran, Europe may, within five to ten years, become too consumed by its own difficulties to continue supporting Ukraine. Russia ultimately prevails, and a new axis emerges.

Among all these factors, the United States remains the greatest variable, while South Korea and Iran form the core vortex of events.

In the end, the future is determined by the struggle among three forces: the Asian Axis, an Islamized Europe, and the American-South American alliance.

There is one more thing worth saying.

The ending of this story is not a happy one.

Because there are no pure heroes and no pure villains within it.

The only forces that truly matter are interests and ideology.

As for me, an ordinary person, a good society is a simple thing: a place where people can live in peace, where differences of opinion do not become grounds for genuine threats, and where everyday life is not steadily eroded by ideas detached from common sense.

Nothing more.

And nothing less.

Finally,

the fate of Marianne has not truly arrived yet.

Hope is faint.

But it still exists.
